Since its inception, Metsys has prioritized its CSR policy as a core part of its development strategy, striving daily to balance economic efficiency, social equity, and environmental quality.
Metsys, a cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud solutions integrator, was keen on committing to the environment by conducting a simple Greenhouse Gas (GHG) assessment. The company was particularly interested in evaluating the contribution of digital technology to its carbon footprint. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, Metsys aimed to balance economic efficiency, social equity, and environmental quality. However, to reduce GHG emissions, it was crucial to measure them first. This posed a challenge as Metsys needed a reliable, simple, and intuitive solution to calculate its carbon footprint and structure its environmental policy effectively.
Metsys partnered with Greenly, a well-recognized market player with the French Tech Green 2020 label, to handle its carbon footprinting needs. Greenly's solution was simple and intuitive, making it an ideal choice for Metsys. The carbon footprint analysis conducted by Greenly took into account not only Metsys' direct and energy-related emissions (Scope 1 & 2) but also indirect emissions caused by service providers and services used by the company (Scope 3). Following the analysis, Metsys developed an action plan to reduce its emissions. The plan involved managers for each major emission item and aimed to define possible and impactful reduction actions in collaboration with the concerned departments, while respecting the 2022 development and growth objectives.
