The Challenge
Alicorp, a leading food processing company in Latin America, faced several challenges in its ambitious 2025 roadmap. The company needed to unify technologies and processes across its four complex business lines. There was a demand for standardization and automation of processes across all geographies and subsidiaries. However, Alicorp struggled with a lack of process visibility, both internally and externally. The company also found it challenging to find an open process management platform that could integrate with its new SAP migration. The company's accelerated growth over the years had resulted in operational complexity, with different tech solutions solving local problems, new applications serving global customers, and system mergers following numerous acquisitions.
The Solution
Alicorp turned to Software AG's ARIS Enterprise for a solution. ARIS offered a powerful business process management platform where engineers, designers, architects, and strategic suppliers could collaborate using a connected user interface. Alicorp was able to establish a definitive process governance system regarding roles, responsibilities, and hierarchies. The company could manage performance through process mining functionality and optimize processes aligned to strategic KPIs. ARIS also provided the ability to manage operational risk and compliance. The platform integrated seamlessly with Alicorp's SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) via HTTP access, enabling a full migration across the parent Alicorp business, covering all processes, in under two years. All 500 users are now actively using ARIS, sharing a single point of truth regarding both company and customer journeys.
