About The Customer
The customer is a leading service provider in North America. They were facing challenges with their field service operations, with a significant number of their installation orders requiring site surveys and repeat surveys. The manual collection and sharing of field data were leading to errors and incomplete information, resulting in poor performance, repeat site visits, and extended delivery times. The customer needed to transition from a traditional to an intelligent and connected field service approach to improve their operations and deliver significant business value.
The Challenge
A leading service provider in North America was grappling with inefficiencies in their field service operations. Approximately 60% of their installation orders necessitated a site survey, and out of these, 18% required repeat surveys. The manual collection of field data was leading to numerous errors and incomplete information. The traditional methods of sharing information, such as emails, printouts, spreadsheets, phone calls, and text messages, were proving to be time-consuming, error-prone, and repetitive. The lack of field information, intelligence, and insights during site surveys resulted in poor performance, repeat site visits, and extended delivery times. The client needed to transition from a traditional to an intelligent and connected field service approach to enable field technicians to deliver significant business value.
The Solution
Prodapt implemented an AI-powered video intelligence framework to revolutionize the client's field service operations. This framework consisted of a video capturing solution, an AI-powered recommendation engine, and a smart dashboard. The video capturing solution allowed field technicians to capture data in a structured manner, preventing the omission of critical information that could lead to repeat visits. This solution also controlled the need for re-surveys and on-site audits by enabling auditors to assess the surveyed data remotely. The AI-powered recommendation engine provided real-time recommendations to supervisors, auditors, and field engineers, assisting them in addressing on-field challenges and roadblocks. The smart dashboard enabled the client to identify trends, predict challenges, and drive smarter actions for management and the business at large. It also facilitated operational decisions like sourcing equipment, dispatching the right team, and completing the job quickly and accurately.
