The Challenge
CarBahn, a leading producer of high-performance automotive parts, was struggling with its existing operational and financial systems. The company's finance team and Chief Operating Officer (COO) were spending more time manipulating data than analyzing it, which was not only inefficient but also time-consuming. It took them over five days to close a month's books, which was a significant delay in their operations. They were using MaxxTraxx, an auto shop management software, which they had modified to handle sales and manufacturing, along with a separate financial package to run the business. This setup was not only cumbersome but also inadequate for their needs. They were also manually writing Bill of Materials (BOMs) and heavily relying on spreadsheets, which was not sustainable for a company with aggressive growth expectations.
The Solution
After evaluating 15 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including Acumatica, CarBahn decided to implement OptiProERP with SAP Business One. This decision was based on the fact that OptiProERP is an original equipment manufacturer and not sold through value-added resellers, which meant that it could provide a more tailored solution for CarBahn.
