Hunt, Gather is a woman-owned creative agency based in Austin, Texas. The agency specializes in building creative campaign websites for brands, including Chipotle, Burger King, and GNC. They work with a variety of clients who require highly customized data reporting. The agency was continuously confronted by a frustrating problem: limited reporting tools kept them from sharing deep performance data with clients. The Challenge
Hunt, Gather, an Austin-based creative agency, was struggling with limited reporting tools that hindered their ability to share deep performance data with clients. The agency was in dire need of a holistic approach to the reporting of its digital marketing efforts. They required a suite of tools that would enable the collection and analysis of data, and ultimately the generation of key insights, all in a single location. The development team had previously built a few pipelines on their own, but these were time-consuming and costly. It could take up to six months to build pipelines in-house, and the team was also spending significant amounts on ELT platforms that were proving to be inefficient.
The Solution
The agency discovered Fivetran, a modern data stack that offered a faster, easier, and more cost-effective way to build pipelines and connect multiple data sources. With Fivetran connectors, the team was able to connect multiple sources with BigQuery in less than a day, a process that previously took months. The team also found that they saved more money with Fivetran compared to the ELT platforms they had previously used. Fivetran was implemented internally, reducing pipeline development time from a full month to just one day. The team was able to build SQL models and connect their data quickly, surfacing insights within minutes. They also set up connectors between their time tracking software and Google Sheets for internal reporting, automating the process and eliminating manual data entry.
