About The Customer
iCap Equity is an equity and construction firm based in the United States. The firm is focused on equity investments for real estate development and construction. Positioned for strong growth, iCap Equity is technology-savvy and innovation-minded, equipping its people with cloud-based tools like Box, Office 365, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The firm manages 40-50 active projects each month, with site inspection reports and images being captured on tablets. These reports are then uploaded to Box for organizational visibility and copied into Microsoft Dynamics CRM for the executive leadership team to monitor investments.
The Challenge
iCap Equity, a Pacific Northwest equity firm, was facing challenges with manual processes and disparate content platforms that were slowing down their field project managers during site inspections. The firm was dealing with 40-50 active projects each month, with site inspection reports and images being captured on tablets. These reports were then uploaded to Box for organizational visibility. However, the same data had to be copied into Microsoft Dynamics CRM for the executive leadership team to monitor investments. This dependence on multiple disparate systems was a significant obstacle, preventing the firm from fully leveraging the benefits of digital business. The manual processes were not only time-consuming but also made it challenging to carefully monitor critical real estate development projects.
The Solution
To overcome these challenges, iCap Equity partnered with Provoke Solutions to develop a solution using Nintex Workflow Cloud. This solution aimed to automate the cross-platform management of site inspection reports via mobile devices, Box, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Nintex Workflow Cloud emerged as the optimal choice to build an intuitive and intelligent workflow solution that emphasized efficiency and enabled repeatability. An integration with Progressive Web App allowed the project manager to capture site inspection reports and attach images and documents. Once the form was completed and submitted, Nintex Workflow Cloud took charge of the next steps. It recognized meta-data, so if a document was labeled field inspection, it was automatically uploaded to the field inspection folder in Box and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Team members received an email notification alerting them to available reports. This solution allowed iCap Equity to take control of workflow challenges from end-to-end without so much as a tap on a mobile device.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
