Invivox, a Bordeaux-based start-up, has developed a platform for connecting doctors, surgeons, and specialists for training courses. The company organizes travel for medical professionals to learn new surgical techniques and innovative approaches. However, Invivox recognized the need to reconcile the three pillars of sustainable development: the environment, the economy, and society. The company believed that health and medico-social institutions are major players in sustainable development, and the links between environment and health are significant and integral. Therefore, Invivox decided to carry out a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) assessment to understand its carbon footprint and take appropriate action. The company found that the purchase of services represented the majority of its carbon footprint.
Invivox chose Greenly's solution to carry out a carbon assessment. Greenly's solution was chosen for its ease of use, intuitiveness, and reliability. The report provided by Greenly allowed Invivox to quickly identify its main emissions and the actions it could take to reduce them. Invivox's total emissions were found to be 72TCo2, equivalent to the annual emissions of 8 French people. The company decided to choose service providers according to their environmental criteria to reduce its carbon footprint and have a real impact. Invivox also decided to limit its digital emissions by favoring a less energy-consuming format for its advertising campaigns and limiting non-essential campaigns. The company also planned to raise awareness and involve its employees as much as possible in a CSR approach and invest in projects to offset its carbon footprint.
