About The Customer
Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetraenke AG is the sole German bottler of The Coca-Cola Company and the largest beverage company in Germany. The company operates twenty-four production plants and employs more than 9,800 people. It generates close to 4 billion liters in annual sales volume. The company delivers over 80 consumer products via its fleet of more than 1,000 trucks and 400,000 reseller partners. The company is well experienced in integrating bottlers and partners, and was chosen as a pilot center for the Coke One global template deployment.
The Challenge
Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetraenke AG (CCEAG), the sole German bottler of The Coca-Cola Company and the largest beverage company in Germany, was chosen as a pilot center for the Coke One global template deployment. The project would ultimately impact more than 75 percent of CCEAG’s existing applications in a highly interdependent IT landscape. Close to 1,000 business processes had to be reviewed and aligned across seven key areas: market-to-order, order-to-cash, forecast-to-deploy, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, master data management and human resource management. This corresponded to roughly 120 enterprise applications, 300 operational interfaces, 900 BI interfaces and 150 business objects that were impacted. CCEAG’s decision to use Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) to facilitate its Coke One deployment was a clear project success factor.
The Solution
To manage the high complexities and dependencies with Coke One, CCEAG opted to extend its use of Software AG’s ARIS. This way CCEAG could leverage its existing Business Process Management (BPM) knowledge and content and have one repository for both BPM and EAM. Using ARIS enables CCEAG to visualize the transitions, evaluate scenarios and create road maps by linking time-based models. This helps reduce the IT architect workload, speeds impact analysis and shows a project’s effect on the enterprise landscape. When project milestones change, automatic updates to the process support maps save significant manual effort. Increased solution transparency for the Coke One template and IT landscape integration facilitate analysis and testing and also shorten incident resolution times. Furthermore, this clearly defines partner responsibilities and makes ongoing alignments easier.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
