Founded in 1932, Tsit Wing International Holdings Limited (TWG) is Hong Kong's leading food and beverages supplier with over 80 percent market coverage and international operations in China, Singapore, Malaysia and Canada. A fast-growing coffee, tea and grocery supplier with revenues in excess of US$78 million worldwide, TWG has steadily expanded its business through a network of coffee shops, the distribution of automated tea and coffee machines, and supplying instant beverage products to over 100 internationally celebrated partners in the region including supermarkets, prestigious hotels and restaurants.
The Challenge
TWG, a leading food and beverages supplier in Hong Kong, was struggling with inefficient reporting processes that delayed decision-making. The company was using their legacy SAP ERP system to produce sales and CRM reports, but found it difficult to generate meaningful insights from the data. The process was manual and could take several hours to extract the data and then generate a report for management using Microsoft PowerPoint. This inefficiency was hindering the company's ability to make strategic decisions and maintain its market leader status.
The Solution
TWG deployed QlikView to enhance and streamline data analytics, enabling faster and more informed decision-making. The solution is being used both on standard desktop computers as well as through mobile devices such as Apple iPads. With the help of long-term partner Vantis, TWG rolled out the solution across the business within a two-month period and immediately started generating value. The QlikView solution allows TWG to be much more agile, providing their sales teams with near real-time access to the data in an easily presentable format. Users have the capability to adjust the criteria of a report (for example, date range, product etc) giving the team much greater flexibility than they have experienced previously.
