The Challenge
Deroma, a leading global manufacturer of industrial terra cotta products, was facing challenges in tracking production across the nine companies that make up the Deroma Group. The company needed a solution that could streamline management data and use it constructively in an easy-to-use format. The company's products are distributed by six marketing subsidiaries in Europe, the United States, and China and can be found in all major DIY chains and over 8,000 Garden Centers around the world. With over 2,000 employees and €100 million in revenue, the company needed a robust solution to manage its complex operations.
The Solution
Deroma deployed QlikView to 40 users across four functions in Italy. These functions included Sales Analysis, Operational Analysis, Supply Chain Analysis, and Financial Analysis. The Sales Analysis involved the analysis of sales information across orders, shipments, products, and margins. The Operational Analysis allowed the company to analyze production information across quantity, quality, waste and rejects, and processing time. The Supply Chain Analysis enabled the company to monitor warehouse inventory levels and activity. The Financial Analysis managed the historic data analysis process and generation of tiered budgets.
