About The Customer
Pickup is a division of La Poste and DPDgroup and is the leading collection point network operator in France. It offers shipping services through nearly 10,000 online retailers in France and is available in 28 countries with over 58,000 collection points worldwide. The company is constantly developing its network to respond to the increasing number of parcels being shipped, a situation that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Pickup uses geomarketing studies to adapt its network based on population density, aiming to offer the most convenient pickup shipping service for consumers.
The Challenge
Pickup, a division of La Poste and DPDgroup, is the leading collection point network operator in France. However, the company faced a significant challenge in managing its network. It needed a solution that could use data to update the network in real time, allowing it to identify precisely the areas that needed strengthening.
The Solution
In 2016, Pickup sought the services of Alteryx via MicromarketerG3, an Experian solution with an Alteryx engine, to overcome its network management challenge. This solution was expected to provide real-time updates to the network using data, enabling Pickup to identify the areas that required strengthening. The Alteryx engine, integrated into the MicromarketerG3 solution, was expected to provide the necessary real-time geographical information that Pickup needed to manage its network effectively. This solution was designed to help Pickup adapt its network based on population density and offer the most convenient pickup shipping service for consumers. By leveraging this solution, Pickup aimed to respond to the unprecedented increase in the number of parcels being shipped, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Airport SCADA Systems Improve Service Levels
Modern airports are one of the busiest environments on Earth and rely on process automation equipment to ensure service operators achieve their KPIs. Increasingly airport SCADA systems are being used to control all aspects of the operation and associated facilities. This is because unplanned system downtime can cost dearly, both in terms of reduced revenues and the associated loss of customer satisfaction due to inevitable travel inconvenience and disruption.

IoT-based Fleet Intelligence Innovation
Speed to market is precious for DRVR, a rapidly growing start-up company. With a business model dependent on reliable mobile data, managers were spending their lives trying to negotiate data roaming deals with mobile network operators in different countries. And, even then, service quality was a constant concern.

Digitize Railway with Deutsche Bahn
To reduce maintenance costs and delay-causing failures for Deutsche Bahn. They need manual measurements by a position measurement system based on custom-made MEMS sensor clusters, which allow autonomous and continuous monitoring with wireless data transmission and long battery. They were looking for data pre-processing solution in the sensor and machine learning algorithms in the cloud so as to detect critical wear.

Improving Production Line Efficiency with Ethernet Micro RTU Controller
Moxa was asked to provide a connectivity solution for one of the world's leading cosmetics companies. This multinational corporation, with retail presence in 130 countries, 23 global braches, and over 66,000 employees, sought to improve the efficiency of their production process by migrating from manual monitoring to an automatic productivity monitoring system. The production line was being monitored by ABB Real-TPI, a factory information system that offers data collection and analysis to improve plant efficiency. Due to software limitations, the customer needed an OPC server and a corresponding I/O solution to collect data from additional sensor devices for the Real-TPI system. The goal is to enable the factory information system to more thoroughly collect data from every corner of the production line. This will improve its ability to measure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and translate into increased production efficiencies. System Requirements • Instant status updates while still consuming minimal bandwidth to relieve strain on limited factory networks • Interoperable with ABB Real-TPI • Small form factor appropriate for deployment where space is scarce • Remote software management and configuration to simplify operations
