About The Customer
Indeed is a leading job site that aggregates job postings from various sources, saving time and money for applicants and organizations alike. The company has been a pioneer in the digital landscape, transforming the hiring process with its innovative solutions. Indeed's mission is to help people get jobs, and it has been successful in doing so, with 10 jobs added every second and 250 million unique monthly visitors. The company operates globally and is considered an enterprise in terms of size. Indeed's services are used across various industries, with a particular focus on on-demand services.
The Challenge
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, companies worldwide faced a surge in demand and the need to find qualified candidates as efficiently as possible. Traditional on-site interviews were no longer feasible, and the entire hiring process, from application to onboarding, had to be carried out remotely. This posed a significant challenge for Indeed, the world's top job site, which had to adapt to serve users under entirely new circumstances. The company needed to find a way to facilitate the hiring process in the era of COVID-19, ensuring that they could connect with the right candidates at the right time, regardless of their location.
The Solution
To address this challenge, Indeed's developers leveraged the power of Twilio APIs, including Programmable Video, Voice, Messaging, and Conversations, to build and deploy a browser-based virtual interviewing platform that integrates seamlessly with their hiring ecosystem. This tool allowed them to modernize their hiring process, accommodating long-term growth, deep customization, and multi-channel capabilities. Unlike other video conferencing options, Twilio APIs gave Indeed's developers the freedom to customize every aspect of their solution, including recruiting-specific functions and visualizations. The platform also made creative use of the Twilio Conversations API, offering integrated chat functionality alongside video calls, voice calls when connectivity is poor, and integrated SMS notifications, making the hiring process an integrated and efficient experience.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
