Founded in 1982 by Mr. Seán Noone, SELC Ireland Limited provide efficient and affordable lighting solutions that deliver high quality, energy efficient and cost-effective public lighting. Our product range includes Photocells, Electronic Ballasts, Powerline & Wireless Central Monitoring Systems and Solar Time Clocks.
For years SELC have been known for setting the highest standards in the lighting industry and developing the most innovative, durable and long-lasting products on the market. We focus on collaborating with our customers to deliver the most valuable solutions.
Some of our milestones achieved over the last three decades include:
1991 - SELC became the Irish SME to achieve ISO 9001 Approval
1998 - SELC launches the most accurate solar time clock in the world (SELC Set 45)
1999 - SELC wins An Taoiseach (Prime Minister's) National Innovation Award
2000 - SELC launches the world’s first (dimmable) electronic ballast (SELC 2000 50-150W Range)
2009 - SELC wins the EU ‘Green Light’ award for its work on the e-street program – The first full-scale intelligent street lighting installation in Oslo, Norway – the first of its kind in the world.
2012 - SELC launches its new SELC 6000 Smart Electronic 150W Energy Efficient Ballast
