作为豪华车的供应商，经销店经常成为有组织犯罪的目标。窃贼会拿这辆车试驾，然后用假钥匙换掉钥匙。然后，他们会在经销店关门后——有时在它还开着的时候——回来，然后把车装上卡车偷走。汽车盗窃使经销商每年损失约 420,000 美元。
解决方案
AVS 的防盗系统包括一个带有自动锁的定制钥匙柜。柜子内大约 200 把钥匙中的每把都贴有防篡改 RFID 标签，上面有一个 Impinj 标签芯片，存储着一个加密的唯一 ID 号。如果有人试图从钥匙上取下标签，标签将无法使用，这也会在此过程中损坏天线。机柜中内置了一个 Impinj Speedway 阅读器，可不断获取这些标签的 ID 号。为了拿钥匙，员工向锁着的柜子出示一张身份证，该身份证由 Impinj Speedway 阅读器读取。阅读器验证个人是否有权移除钥匙，然后打开柜门。数据被传输到后端，通知系统谁使用了哪些密钥。每个员工被授权携带不超过指定数量的钥匙，并且只能在有限的时间内使用。如果钥匙没有在适当的时间归还柜子，或者如果取出的钥匙数量超过了允许的数量，软件会指示系统向公司内的指定方发送警报。通过更深入地了解谁拥有汽车钥匙以及钥匙何时未被归还，经销商现在能够保护他们的库存免受潜在的窃贼的侵害。
