The agency was also looking to digitalize all administrative processes in the long term. The agency handles around 1 million applications for financial assistance annually, totaling more than €1 billion per year. The past decade has seen a growing trend in public administration toward customer-friendly web portals and decentralized applications. The agency was looking to expand webMethods into a central hub for all its applications.
解决方案
The agency implemented the webMethods Integration Platform and the Software AG Digital Business Platform. These platforms allowed the agency to connect the digital and physical worlds, making all of its multi-level processes based on Adabas mainframe applications more efficient. All state employees can now access important documents via a user-friendly customer portal, as well as apply for financial assistance or reimbursement for their travel costs. The agency's IT infrastructure is built on the foundations of an Adabas database. Clients can access the system using modern and user-friendly web-based applications. The agency also implemented the webMethods Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) that now forms part of the Digital Business Platform as the hub for all its applications.
