关于客户
Groupe Rossel is a multimedia publishing house that covers print, radio, television, and internet in Belgium and Northern France. The company is well known for publishing the national Belgian newspaper ‘Le Soir’, the regional newspaper ‘Sudpresse’ and the free paper ‘Vlan’. Since the 90’s, the company has transformed itself from a newspaper publisher to a multimedia company encompassing advertising, print, radio, television and internet in Belgium and the northern part of France. An independent, family-run Belgian company, Groupe Rossel publishes sixteen daily newspapers, thirty weekly magazines and half a dozen monthly magazines. In 2007, Groupe Rossel celebrated its 120th anniversary.
挑战
Groupe Rossel, a multimedia publishing house, was facing challenges in providing uniform reporting and analysis capabilities for the diversified business lines and companies within the group. The group's operational management teams required data to optimize their business lines, including distribution, sales, subscriptions, and marketing. However, the company did not have a strategy in place to support these data and reporting requests. For instance, figures on sales and subscriptions required two full-time IT employees spending three days a week to generate the report, while two full-time business line employees spent five days a week gathering the required data.
解决方案
Groupe Rossel deployed QlikView on top of the multiple ERP systems to provide each business line with reporting and analysis capabilities for distribution, market penetration, sales, subscriptions, distribution, and marketing. The IT department of Groupe Rossel started with the deployment of QlikView as its uniform BI platform on top of their ERP systems for sales, subscriptions, advertising, and B2C marketing. Today, Groupe Rossel has four main QlikView applications deployed for sales, subscriptions, advertising, and marketing. The sales application monitors on a daily basis the sales results of the newspapers and magazines on different levels, which also enables Groupe Rossel to optimize distribution to the kiosks.

Retail Uses RFID to Enable Cold Chain Monitoring
Like most grocery retailers, Hy-Vee is faced with the challenge of providing the highest quality products to its shoppers. Shoppers want the longest possible shelf life from perishable products and expect a consistent product experience each time they shop. Controlling the quality of products sold leads to shopper loyalty, which is of paramount importance to the success of Hy-Vee. Before products arrive in stores, Hy-Vee's distribution centers (DCs) handle items including dairy products, fresh meats, seafood, deli items, produce and frozen goods, all of which have different temperature needs and sensitivities. During transit from suppliers to DCs, Hy-Vee has limited visibility and temperature management abilities due to large amount of supplier managed transportation. For instance, during a week-long transit, a supplier's carrier equipment may malfunction, causing an item to thaw and then refreeze once repairs are made. Hy-Vee sought help from TempTRIP, an RFID solution provider that focuses on shipping, storage, receiving, and temperature control. TempTRIP's EPC RFID tags use Impinj chips to monitor and report temperature readings throughout the shipping and receiving process. The tags can also be re-configured and re-used, a unique feature within the current market of temperature monitoring devices.
