关于客户
WECO Pyrotechnische Fabrik is a manufacturer and distributor of fireworks based in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Founded in 1948, the company employs around 450 people across three sites. WECO is the leading fireworks producer in Europe, with subsidiaries in France, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, as well as a partner company in Austria. The company sells its products to both the general consumer (95 per cent) and professional pyrotechnic display firms. WECO operates three manufacturing sites in Germany at Eitorf, Kiel, and Freiberg, and also imports products from the Far East. The company adheres to the principle that fireworks should be an ideal combination of safety and fun, and thus maintains high quality demands and controls.
挑战
WECO Pyrotechnische Fabrik, a leading fireworks producer in Europe, faced challenges in managing its multi-stage in-house production system and purchasing merchandise from abroad. The company required accurate logistics planning to ensure all branch outlets received their stocks in time for New Year’s Eve sales. The same level of accuracy was needed for planning production and import schedules. For a long time, data analysis was done using Microsoft Dynamics NAV business management software coupled with individually programmed reports. However, this procedure proved to be time-consuming and error-prone. The data was first exported from the inventory management system into various different Excel worksheets and then collated. This process led to errors and could only assess and optimise processes in retrospect.
解决方案
WECO Pyrotechnische Fabrik deployed QlikView to 10 employees for product analyses, profit margin calculations, and production planning. The company wanted information to be available significantly faster to various departments, including purchasing, production, distribution, and controls, as well as to the executive board. The data needed to be collated, assessed, and made available in reports via one single system without prior aggregation or intermediate steps. During a three-day QlikView workshop called “Seeing is Believing”, WECO ordered a first application for the company’s purchasing department. Further analysis programs for production, distribution, and the executive board were handled by QlikTech partner CBS Consulting Business Solutions, which supervised the installation and implementation of QlikView.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
