关于客户
The customer is a U.S. government law enforcement agency. This agency is responsible for collecting and disseminating a massive repository of criminal justice records to fight, investigate, and prevent crime. The organization brings together arrest reports, traffic citations, probation files, photos, and other criminal records from federal, state, tribal, and local agencies. The agency's goal is to get the right information into the right hands as soon as possible to aid in law enforcement efforts nationwide.
挑战
The U.S. government law enforcement agency was facing a challenge in managing the massive influx of criminal justice records. The agency collects arrest reports, traffic citations, probation files, photos, and other criminal records from federal, state, tribal, and local agencies. As early as 2010, the agency was dealing with 1 million records or roughly 10 GB of data daily. However, the agency's disk-bound databases could not ingest, cleanse, and assimilate the information quickly enough. By 2013, data volumes had exploded 10x to 100GB streaming in daily.
解决方案
The agency initially deployed Terracotta Ehcache as a temporary caching solution but soon realized it would need the power of a full-fledged in-memory data management platform. To keep pace with 100GB of new crime data every day—or more than 4GB every hour—the agency created a 500GB in-memory data store using Terracotta BigMemory. BigMemory helps the organization meet its goal of getting the right information into the right hands right as soon as possible. By using BigMemory for high-speed data ingestion, the agency continues to run smoothly, despite a 10x increase in the volume of incoming data.

Smart City Public Safety
Amyx+ worked with a local government authority to develop an Internet of Things-enabled public safety strategy. In the current state, vigilance meant manually scanning through potentially hundreds of analog surveillance videos feeds. Manual, costly and ineffective, the local agency desired to transition from analog to digital CCTV, apply computer vision and other technologies to automatically detect potential crime in progress, expedite and streamline emergency calls and integrate with personal wearables to ensure the safety of their citizens.

Intamac And Securitas Collaborate To Improve Monitoring Structures
Securitas wanted to give new and existing customers a proposition that was unlike anything they had offered before, a security system that broke the traditional mould but took advantage of the monitoring infrastructure that was already in place, including the manned response capabilities and alarm receiving centres.
