About The Customer
Genpro Inc. is a New Jersey-based non-asset transportation provider, specializing in temperature-controlled freight. For over 30 years, Genpro has delivered innovative transportation solutions to its customers. With an ongoing dedication to continuous improvement, Genpro creates new paths for its customers and carriers by leveraging the company’s industry experience, superior technology, and knowledgeable staff. In a marketplace built on countless variables, Genpro provides a competitive advantage with its high level of service and reliability in both the temperature-controlled and dry freight marketplace.
The Challenge
Genpro, a non-asset transportation provider, was facing challenges with its existing Transportation Management System (TMS) which was not supporting and meeting the vision and plan for future growth. The company needed a more accessible, scalable TMS with integrations to connect partners to critical planning and shipping information. The solution required to automate redundant shipment tasks, centralize and connect internal and external stakeholder views, simplify the user interface, scale to support growth, and respond in real-time to customers and carriers managing volume and capacity allocations.
The Solution
To meet the demands of how freight needs to be transacted and executed in the future, Genpro decided to implement Turvo’s scalable, cloud-based collaboration SaaS platform. This decision was based on its ease-of-use, process flow efficiency, tracking, and integration capabilities. Turvo partnered with Genpro to identify and eliminate manual processes in its transportation management operations. Turvo enabled streamlined workflows and user collaboration across operations, sales, and finance on a single platform. The solution focused on infrastructure, differentiation, cost containment, capacity, and visibility.

Vehicle Fleet Analytics
Organizations frequently implement a maintenance strategy for their fleets of vehicles using a combination of time and usage based maintenance schedules. While effective as a whole, time and usage based schedules do not take into account driving patterns, environmental factors, and sensors currently deployed within the vehicle measuring crank voltage, ignition voltage, and acceleration, all of which have a significant influence on the overall health of the vehicle. In a typical fleet, a large percentage of road calls are related to electrical failure, with battery failure being a common cause. Battery failures result in unmet service agreement levels and costly re-adjustment of scheduled to provide replacement vehicles. To reduce the impact of unplanned maintenance, the transportation logistics company was interested in a trial of C3 Vehicle Fleet Analytics.
