About The Customer
Kilo Health is a leading digital health and wellness company, recognized as the second fastest growing company in Europe in 2021 & 2022. The company offers over 30 digital health products, including apps like DoFasting, Cardi.Health, Joggo, and four B2B programs. Kilo Health also operates PipelinePharma, a digital platform connecting pharma buyers with manufacturers and sellers. The company's mission is to help people live healthier lives. With a team of over 700 employees, Kilo Health serves over 5 million customers worldwide.
The Challenge
Kilo Health, a global leader in digital health and wellness, faced a significant challenge as it rapidly expanded. The company, which started with just seven people in 2013, has grown to over 700 employees managing more than 30 products with over 5 million customers worldwide. This rapid growth led to an exponential increase in data points, which the company needed to manage effectively to become a fully data-driven organization. The challenge was to find a solution that could support this rapid growth and provide intelligent and unbiased insights to stakeholders.
The Solution
Kilo Health turned to Fivetran, a tool they had been using since 2019, to manage their growing data needs. Fivetran's simplicity and scalability made it an ideal solution for Kilo Health's rapid expansion. The company was able to easily set up and maintain new connectors as the business grew, without investing in additional resources. From 2021 to 2023, the number of Fivetran connectors Kilo Health used increased from 130 to over 220, encompassing more than 20 types. This allowed Kilo Health to use data as soon as it was available in the source, which was crucial for making pivotal business decisions. Fivetran also automated all data movement into the data lake, providing a centralized view of the entire business.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
