The challenge was to integrate, capture, analyze, and respond to data captured by embedded sensors in remote printers at customer sites. The company needed to understand and act immediately on real-time maintenance data to proactively increase service levels, drive down costs, and maximize asset uptime, utilization, and placement.

Wipro's Looking Glass solution combines integration, big data streaming analytics, and in-memory data management from Software AG’s Digital Business Platform. Using webMethods, Apama, and Terracotta, one leading imaging company can integrate, capture, analyze, and respond to data captured by embedded sensors in remote printers at customer sites. The company can understand and act immediately on real-time maintenance data to proactively increase service levels, drive down costs, and maximize asset uptime, utilization, and placement. Wipro has 10 other similar projects in the works worldwide, enabling enterprises in other industries to leverage the power of their Internet of Things—be they utilities or hotels—to increase ROI, customer satisfaction, and, most importantly, revenue.
