The old way of managing transactions, which involved manual input and piles of paper, was inefficient and costly. The platform, powered by webMethods, focused on eliminating wasteful manual input, which allowed Swisscom to cut the number of steps in some processes in half. This reduced costs while improving turnaround time and quality. The platform also helped Swisscom go paperless, reducing long-term costs for their customers by up to 50%. The platform's integration tools streamlined the process of working with formats like EDI, XML, and flat files. Swisscom was able to integrate the heterogeneous IT systems of their B2B communications’ customers quickly and inexpensively. The platform also enabled Swisscom to offer their Conextrade portal as a Software as a Service in multiple languages, making it easy to connect existing merchandising and financial systems with Conextrade’s powerful electronic invoicing and order management features.
